01 / Residential Design
We provide drawings to build your dream home, and project management that will guide you through the process making it as easy on you as possible.

We will get to know the details of your project via the form provided in our contact page.
After your initial contact we will be in touch quickly via email to set up the consultation appointment. In this first meeting we will learn about your home, your family’s needs, how your family functions within the space, the current problems and pain points, your family’s style, and the vision for the completed project. We want to exceed your expectations, so during this meeting we will create goals. Finally, we will create a scope of work for your project and present a proposal for design services.
The design process will begin with programming. This phase will include evaluating the site plan, building orientation, topographical concerns, existing structure and measurements, desired space and sizes, adjacencies and functionality. Building codes will also be evaluated to ensure a seamless building process.

We will take the information gathered during the initial consultation and programming to begin building your dream home. First, a conceptual 3D model, elevations, and floor plans will be created taking programming information into consideration. Additionally, inspirational images and material selections will be included during this phase.

Once we arrive at a conceptual design, we will begin to refine the floor plans and further develop the exterior elevations based on feedback. Dimensions will be included with the drawings, and your builder will be able to price your project at the completion of this phase.
Your project will then go out for bids and negotiations with the contractors. Harper Harris will be your liaison during this process, inquiring and relaying requested information.

We will deliver a detailed set of drawings for your contractor to build with, and these drawings include: a site plan, foundation diagram, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, roof plan, exterior elevations, electrical layout, basic wall sections, door schedule, window schedule, pertinent details, and interior elevations.

Once a contractor is selected the construction will soon begin. Harper Harris will work with you and the contractor throughout the construction process as needed to observe the work being performed and that design intent is being executed here.
02 / Interior Design
Our team will develop a true understanding of how your space can function best with the aesthetic you desire most to create a beautiful interior environment in your home. Indeed, Harper Harris drawings with the addition of material selections and furnishings will make your house the most beautiful home.

Upon receiving your initial contact we will be in touch via email to schedule a consultation. Once we meet we will discuss the details and goals for the project’s completion, observe how the space functions for your family, and ultimately understand what is not currently serving your family. With this information, we will create a scope of work for your project and present a design proposal.

After taking measurements we will take the information gathered during your consultation and begin to create your new space. We may use different methods to design the project such as hand sketching, design boards, and 3D modeling.

Once we arrive at a conceptual design the specifications process will begin. Specific items will be selected based on the design concept and budget. The scope of the specifications will vary for each individual project, but they may include: flooring, tile, furnishings, paint colors, wall coverings, lighting, artwork, and decorative accessories.

Harper Harris will act as a purchasing liaison for the items selected for your project. We will handle the ordering, logistics of delivery, and installation.

Once all items have been ordered we will work with you and the vendor to handle all of the logistics of delivery and installation. This may involve site visits as needed to keep design intent intact.
